Heath R. Meattey, MD
Heath R. Meattey, MD is a board certified Endocrinologist. He received his medical training at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He then completed his fellowhip training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown Medical School in Providence, RI.
Dr. Meattey’s clinical approach is largely focused on nurturing therapeutic relationships with patients. He has broad experience in diagnosing and treating endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid cancer, and pituitary disease. He has a special interest in diagnostic thyroid ultrasound and thyroid biopsy, and offers complete services for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid dysfunction and thyroid nodules within the practice.
In his leisure time, Dr. Meattey enjoys spending time with his family, Cajun cooking, writing poetry, and making craft cider.

Jennifer Balukonis, ARNP CDE
Jennifer Balukonis, APRN earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, Connecticut. She is dual-certified as an adult and gerontological nurse practitioner, as well as a certified diabetes educator.
Prior to joining Parkland Physician Services, Jennifer gained extensive experience as a nurse practitioner in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She worked as a nurse practitioner in an Internal Medicine practice where she provided preventive care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Most recently, she worked at Parkland Medical Center as a nurse practitioner in Cardiology and as Diabetes Education Coordinator. She is an active member of the New Hampshire Association of Diabetes Educators and the American Diabetes Association.
Jennifer has a special interest in providing diabetes care and helping patients achieve the best possible control of their diabetes through education and self-management. She believes that successful treatment of diabetes involves patients and their families working as a team with providers and educators.
Jennifer feels honored to have the opportunity to serve patients in the community in which she lives. She enjoys getting to know her patients personally and building strong and trusting relationships.
In her leisure, Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children. They are outdoor enthusiasts and take pleasure in recreational activities such as hiking, camping, and skiing.

Corinne Chaar RD, CDE, LD
Corinne Chaar is the Coordinator of the Parkland Diabetes Self Management Education Program recognized by The American Diabetes Association. Corinne is active in the community fostering Diabetes prevention and control. She has been a Certified Diabetes Educator for 15 years and a Registered Clinical Dietitian for over 20 years. In addition, Corinne has nearly 20 years experience as a college Adjunct Faculty member educating nursing and exercise science students. She has been a member of numerous organizations including The American Dietetic Association and American Association of Diabetes Educators. Corinne has developed a variety of Education Programs for staff, patients and members of the community and she remains committed to empower patients to prevent and control diabetes.
